Based on the theoretical analysis of the internal mechanism of market integration affecting the spatial convergence of regional innovation, this paper uses the price index method to measure the market integration in China, and establishes a spatial β-convergence model to test the impact of market integration on regional innovation convergence-The results show that there is no absolute β-convergence in China's regional innovation, but there is conditional β-convergence,and because the “polarization effect” is dominant in the current stage, market integration has not promoted the spatial convergence of regional innovation; after replacing the spatial weight matrix, the results are still robust. Further mechanism tests show that market integration has an impact on the spatial convergence of regional innovation by affecting the flow of innovation factors. The conclusion of this paper provides a useful reference for market integration to promote the coordinated development of regional innovation in China.
